DroidNosMoney is an AI hardware, preferably in the shape of a small cube, and it's attached onto your keychain and basically follows you around, making it perfect when you are shopping.
Every teenager is required to have one: First droids are free of charge unless the user receives a ban from their current droid, to which they'll need to buy a new one.
The purpose of this invention is to control spendings by ignorant teenagers who aren’t working or aren’t knowledgeable of budgeting.
Only one can be purchased on an account unless it is lost. Lies cannot be fabricated as there’s a special AI technology that validates if you are hiding it or purposely threw it away. Moreover, if your Droid is stolen, the AI will have a security protocol that activates when it is being attached onto another keychain or location (Face verification and specific questions).
The model has its own personality, a strict persona. It’s not nice nor is it mean, it’s brutal and it reminds you to follow instructions or it will lock your account.
What does locking the account do? If the Droid locks your account, you can’t make purchases until your one of your parents approve, and convincing them isn’t easy, making it a great tool for teaching responsibility.
Why is this necessary? This is necessary because its goal is to manage how teenagers spend their money but it also teaches them that spending too much money can be a problem. It’s through the use of locking their accounts and making them provide a good reason why and how they will improve next time. This gives them time to reflect and learn from their mistakes, thus making them more cautious and smart about their money spending.
There are levels to this: Making your first mistake isn’t that serious as it just requires you to not do it again. However, after getting past the second mistake, the Droid will increasingly get stricter and stricter until you are permanently locked out of your account. The second to last before the permanent lockdown, you will have to write a whole essay about money spending and its consequences on teenagers like them.
Rewarded with a special currency called Good Karma every week (basically following the rules and completing certain tasks). With Good Karma Credits, you can purchase company related items (merchandise) or customize your personal profile.
Additionally, depending on your Karma rank (a ranking system you can progress through completing quests and following rules), it will positively impact your resume and also you can go on trips (i.e to the Grand Canyon).
For autistic/ people with certain roadblocks, there will be a special type of bot that imposes less of a strict persona but an understanding and patient persona. To obtain a special Droid, you’ll (or a trusted guardian; 18 or older) have to fill out a form, showing proof of your or child’s disability(s) and other personal information. Forms are confidential and only shown between the specialized government related departments (i.e Department of Education).
The task and rules are not as strict as people without roadblocks/ disability(s). There will be a separate system, making the ranking more fair and enjoyable. However, anyone can participate in the universal ranking system if they feel like it (need to complete a form, verifying their choice).
Encourages better budget spending decisions through tasks that benefit their Karma rank.
Prizes: gives them the drive to do their best and complete those tasks.
Giving them general knowledge of financing; it'll stick with them long-term
Lastly it’s practically free so it makes the competitive experience natural and not a pay to win experience.
